Bert Parks Statue Returns to Atlantic City
The iconic 25 year host of the Miss American Pageant has claimed his place in the Tea Garden at the Sheraton Hotel in Atlantic City. In a recent re-dedication ceremony, Bella and Sheraton Hotel developer Tom Scannapieco spoke of how much the statue has been missed. The statue of Parks, with arms outstretched holding a crown, provides visitors who stand under the crown for perfect picture opportunity while the theme song “There she is, Miss America” plays in the background.
The Sheraton Hotel, in Atlantic City serves as the unofficial Miss America museum in the Atlantic City area, and with the return of the pageant this September, many are very excited to learn more about the pageant returning to its roots.
